The Cheminée room is located in the original residential tower of Wartensee Castle. The current entrance was a window back then, as the staircase was outside the first extension of the former residential tower.
In medieval times this room was used as a kitchen, and the open fireplace was converted into a Cheminée in the 1970s. Within the broad walls of the castle, a narrow staircase leads to the former apartments above, which were heated by the waste heat from the kitchen and are still accessible today.
The stone staircase, hidden in the metre-thick masonry, still has a Romanesque mullioned window on the left and served as a shelter in case there was a fire.

The Cheminée room covers an area of 45 square meters and offers several options for your event. With a real fireplace, access to the roof terrace and the secret passage in the tower gades, this room offers numerous opportunities for special events in a time-honored setting.
